Review & Giveaway: Breyers Smooth & Dreamy

Mom Central recently asked me if I wanted to be a part of the Breyers Smooth And Dreamy blog tour. Hello, chocolate and ice cream? Of course!


With the hot Summer weather, most of us turn to cooler snacks for treats. Frozen and fresh fruit is of course, the healthiest, but sometimes we crave a little something sweeter. I admit awhile back when we heard the ice cream truck, we went flying to get some. A frozen chocolate-y treat on a hot day? That's my idea of heaven! ;)

Breyers Smooth And Dreamy line is chock full of ice cream bars and sandwiches. All the packages come with six bars, and the average retail price seems to be about $3.99 a box (Safeway has them on sale right now for $2.99). This is a lot cheaper overall than the ice cream truck - and the good part is that according to the nutrition information on the boxes, everything is 160 calories or less per serving, so you can indulge in one without feeling too guilty! They are also free of artificial flavors and colors. (Have you noticed the coloring in some of the frozen treats available at the store? Eeek!)


We ended up trying the Triple Chocolate Chip Bars. Now returning readers know I love me some chocolate (I have hidden stashes LOL), so when I say these are almost chocolate overload, I mean it. If you can eat more than one, your sweet tooth must be way better than mine! lol I barely managed to eat one, it was chocolate-ly delight. Those dark chocolate chips just made it perfect. Next time we buy these, I think I am going to try the Chocolate Covered Strawberry and see what those taste like!
