Cranktastic. That's the word of the day. (Crank*tas*tic adj. mommy when she needs a soak in someone's hot tub, and a full night's sleep.)
Reason #4,291 why I want to move from our neighborhood: crazy lady two doors down is in the middle of the street right now screaming HEY! HEY! HEY!
Seriously, I don't want to know.
Citibank keeps sending me pre-approved credit junk on different variations of my name - it's driving me crazy! I don't know what's worse - all these applications which I definitely DO NOT need (I thought they were supposed to stop doing that?) or the ways they try to spell it (I guess the 3 parts of our last name trip up their computer systems?) This makes me even more cranktastic!
Apparently, monsters have been drinking all my Diet Dr. Pepper... so I am returning the favor, and drinking the monsters Monster energy drinks - serves the monster right. (Ick though, how does he drink this junk? I taste so much sugar! gag!)
We hit up Grocery Outlet yesterday, and one of the things I scored was a #10 can of salsa for $2.99. That is a LOT of salsa! LOL I was asked the other day how I can buy #10 cans with our family so small, and it's so easy! I just plan my meals around it. Like with the salsa, I'll make Slow Cooker Fiesta Chicken, Salsa Chicken Quesadillas, and one other dish, plus we can have tortilla chips to dip in it as a late night snack - the can will be used within 3 days.
Speaking of menu planning, DH's schedule is nuts this week, so I'm just ebbing with the flow. He had the last few days off, and work tried calling him in no less than FOUR times in a 24 hour period. You'd think that would mean OT, which would be great, because we need it - but then at the end of the week, they complain about the OT and send him home. GAH! Sunday we were at a BBQ with some of his co-workers, and they called one person first - so everyone went for alcohol and took a few sips so when scheduling called, they all could say they had been drinking and couldn't come in. LOL!
and DH is trying to blame those few sips for the reason he sang the Bee Gee's "Stayin' Alive" in their little karoake game they had going on. Whatever! ;) (And yes, I took video! Mwhahahaaaa!) When you can get my DH into it, he's actually kind of good - he won $100 a few years back (OK, maybe a lot of years back now that I think of it, we weren't married yet lol) at a local karoake night back in Texas.
There is no footage of me singing, because I don't sing. Don't get too excited. ;)
Yesterday we were on the other side of the bridge, so we took the dogs to the dog park where we used to take Pudgy so they could run a bit after being stuck in the car. I noticed that the park there was a LOT cleaner - the two park near here, folks are lazy and don't always pick up after their dogs, which makes me super cranky. I didn't see a single "deposit" anywhere in that park, and we walked all over. I guess that's the difference between city parks and country parks.
And of course, right after that it started raining so there went the rest of our day. Phooey. And to make the trip back home even better? The car is acting up AGAIN. Bad car, bad!
And I'll leave you with this vintage Muppets footage:

It's been stuck in my head for days!
