Disney has a new live action movie coming out on October 8th called Secretariat. For my non-horse people, Secretariat was a Triple Crown Winner back in 1973 (horse racing: think the Kentucky Derby!). When he won, it had been 25 years since the last Triple Crown Winner, and it was a HUGE deal. It's like football teams winning the Super Bowl three times in a row - it's a rare occurrence. Even more remarkable is who helped this happen! The movie (based on the true story) follows Penny Chenery (played by Diane Lane), your every day housewife and Mom, who agrees to take over her ailing father’s Virginia-based Meadow Stables. It's very male dominated (it still is), and you'll get to follow the journey to Secretariat victories. The movie is rated PG, and since I haven't viewed it personally, I can't vouch for if there's violence/bad language, etc, but PG usually isn't that bad. Here's the trailer:
(feed readers, you'll have to click over for this one as I don't have a direct link - sorry!)

It's hard to pick just one, so I'm just going to close my eyes and pick, "The Rocketeer." It's a really fun, well-written movie.
I follow your blog. And I must say that I'm very jealous that you got your pony at age 3. I'm still waiting for mine!
