I hate blood and guts, violence for the sake of violence movies, but DH loves them.
I know, shocking. It's a misconception that all goth-y people like vampire things too. I snarl. The whole Twilight craze makes me want to claw my eyes out. And yes, it's probably a little strange that I adore Halloween and all the goodies that go along with it, yet horror movies make me cringe.
Comic book violence? I love those movies. (if they don't butcher the movie to begin with, because I am a comic book geek after all!) I'll watch natural disaster movies - I'm into emergency preparedness, those make me giddy with excitement (lol) - that I can handle. Virus movies? Bring it on!
This is where I confess I have never seen a Nightmare On Elm Street movie. Or any of the Friday the 13th ones either. Shocking again? Sorry. I think those were considered like the rite of passage for slumber parties in the 80's too. They were banned in our home growing up, so that's probably part of why I never saw them. My parents did a good job of hosting the sleepovers, so they could field what we were watching/keep an eye on what was going on.
The year Saw III came out, we were up here and DH had no one to go with him... and the Saw movies are a big deal to him, so guess who was stuck going with him? I was scarred for life. Me no likey. Seriously, there's a reason why I'm very pro-man cave with him - he can have his TV and gaming system out there, and my house can be semi-gore free. lol
Zombie movies are where we meet in the middle. He gets some violence, and I get some what would you do in this situation? geekness. That's what makes a marriage last. ;)

I really don't get into the human hamburger movies. But get this, my mother loves them. Go figure, she begged me to watch the Saw movies with her. Yuck, I just couldn't. Now,zombie movies, I can handle. I love them. I really like the resident evil series.
