Menu Planning Monday -

Well, we didn't end up making yesterday's menu because I was too tired from all the cleaning, so I'm moving it to today. We took a lot longer than I thought we would moving furniture around yesterday and cleaning up, so I didn't get as much done on the food front as I was hoping to. On the bright side, I did discover that I have a nice stash of olive oil, BBQ sauce, and yummy marinades so far!

I'm making a lot of chicken dishes, because I have a huge tray of chicken that I'm defrosting. Normally I split them when I come home into meal sized bags, but this tray I purchase at Save-A-Lot, and they freeze a lot of their meats for some reason. Oh well, it will be easier in the week once I've cooked most of it, to just portion it out! I always laugh at the $6.99 for 12 oz of cooked chicken in the meat department - people are crazy to buy it. ;)

Monday: Grilled Chicken Florentine

Tuesday: Honey Chicken & Pineapple

Wednesday: Spicy beef Roll Ups

Thursday: Spaghetti & meatballs, garlic bread

Friday: recipe of the week

Saturday: Creamy Chicken Noodle Bake

Sunday: Slow Cooker Ginger Spiced Chicken, salad, rolls

I agree! 12 ounces of chicken for 6.99 is CRAZY. I never pay more than 1.99/lb for chicken breasts and try to stock up when I see them cheaper than that.

Ounch... 6.99lb I just started to buy my meats from a co-op and I am proud to say that I am getting my chicken breasts for under .80 a lb... woohoo!! Visiting you from Orgjunkie. Have a wonderful week.
