In the world of pop up books, there are pop up books, and then there are pop up books. This is definitely one of the latter, an exquisitely beautiful creation that takes your breath away! Chuck Fisher has illustrated some incredible paintings to go alongside this classic holiday tale. Not only are there some seriously intricate - and I mean intricate - pop-ups, the entire tale of A Christmas Carol is written into five small books that are included through the pop-up pages.
Because the pop-ups are so intricate on this one, it's best to keep the book away from little hands except with adult supervision. It can be a little difficult to close some of the pages, so patience is a must - but trust me when I say that it is totally worth it! It's the perfect addition to your Christmas and holiday decorations, and the whole family can sit down and enjoy this one - with or without kids. It's also a great way to introduce your children to this wonderful classic tale.
Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol: A Pop Up Book illustrated by Chuck Fisher and Paper Engineering by Bruce Foster is a hardcover book, published by Little, Brown and Company. While the book itself is only 12 pages, there are multiple small booklets inside with the story by Charles Dickens. The suggested retail price is $30.00 ($36.99 in Canada), but as of this posting, Amazon has it for just $19.80.
I received a copy of this book thanks to the publisher in order to share my opinions of it.
