My Bookshelf Project

I don't think we'll ever have enough bookcases in our home! I'd love to have floor to ceiling bookshelves throughout one room because it would be perfect for us - but not in this home with all the windows. I am always on the hunt for more, so when the offer for one came through Freecycle a few weeks back, I typed as fast as I could and hoped I was first.

It wasn't a very big one, and it was a little dingy/smelly, but nothing a coat of paint couldn't fix!

So we stalked Home Depot for a few weeks and scored a small container of paint for $1.00 from the mistint paints (oh, how I love those! lol) and then it was a pretty shade of pepto bismal (LOL) pink:

I bet you love that I used the recycle bins to paint on, lol. And we snagged some fun butterfly wall stickers from Dollar Tree for a whopping $1:

And for $1.50 (plus tax, I guess) the munchkin has a new girly bookshelf all to herself for some of her books! It's a pretty sturdy one, so I'm sure it will make it through a bunch of paint jobs over the years. The bright side is those stickers come right off, so it's even easier to change up.
