Recipe & Giveaway: Johnsonville PigTails

Johnsonville recently sent us on over some of their Johnsonville Sausage in order to try out a fun new recipe: PigTails!


It can be incredibly hard to get kids to eat sometimes, so we resort to making food fun for kids to eat. This Pig Tails meal definitely is fun, and it's super easy to make. You can either deep fry it, or make it a little more healthy like I am by baking it. The ingredient list is short and sweet:

1 package frozen curly French Fries
1 package Johnsonville Smoked sausage (I used the Smoked Turkey in my recipe)


Slice the sausage links in half through the middle, then cut each half into thirds. Preheat oven to 450 degrees (or fire up the fryer with fresh oil to at least 375 degrees). Place the sausage links onto a baking sheet with a bit of space in between each in a single layer. Bake for time allowed on the fries - about 15 to 20 minutes.


If you fry it, the sausage may curl a little better than the baking, but for my family I'd rather it be healthier. It's easy for the kiddos to eat and was gobbled up here!
