Review & Giveaway: Parenthood Soundtrack

Back in February, I had a sneak peak at a new TV show called Parenthood. Since it started airing, it's done so well that they have gone on to season two! I'm excited, because usually when we start watching a television show from when it first starts airing, it seems like the kiss of death and they cancel it after the first season (if they even make it that far!). It drives me absolutely BONKERS because I hate it when there's not a proper ending to a show.


Parenthood: Season One is actually available on DVD now, so if you need to get caught up on the show, you can pick it up or borrow it from your local library. If you haven't checked out the show yet, give it a try - I really like this one. The official soundtrack for Parenthood will be available this Tuesday, October 5th, 2010, containing songs you will probably remember hearing during the episodes. Here's the complete track listing:

Trivia: The first draft of the script to the pilot episode was actually 106 pages long! You'll find out the rest of the story in the CD liner notes. ;)

If you enjoy the show, you'll enjoy this CD. I'm usually a fan of soundtracks containing different artists on them because it usually means a wide variety of new music to enjoy listening to - our tastes can be rather eclectic around here as you've probably guessed.

The Parenthood Soundtrack contains 12 tracks running 43 minutes long in total and is available for purchase in CD form, or download for your iPod or other MP3 player. The suggested retail price is $13.98. (though Amazon has it on pre-order for $12.99 as of this posting)
