Review & Giveaway: PuffPac

PuffPacs allow you to place a gift inside a balloon. Pretty neat idea, right? These are specially manufactured Mylar balloons that are purposely left unsealed along one of the sides. The opening is big enough that you can place a small gift, a gift card (or how about an engagement ring? How cool would that be?)


Now to get them to look like a balloon, you'll seal the open side closed using an iron set at medium heat (this shouldn't hurt the iron). If you don't have an iron, you can always use a foodsaver if you have one. (My iron must be in Texas, because I haven't seen it since last Summer. Sigh!)

The next step is to inflate them using a straw. (This is what husbands are for in my case. lol) The way the balloon is, you can't see what's inside - so there's no peeking! This special balloon will stay inflated for weeks too, so you can prepare the gift ahead of time - or if you need to ship a gift, wouldn't this be perfect? (I wouldn't do that for any packages that might have to go through customs though!!) You can even add some shredded paper to make it fun when it's opened, or if you want noise for when the recipient shakes it, you can use a penny or a jingle bell.


Are you wondering how the gift gets out? Well, there's a sticker on the balloon that says "Gift Inside - Squeeze balloon until it POPS!"

Yes, kids and those who love to pop bubble wrap will enjoy that part maybe a little too much. ;)

Of course, it's not recyclable like most conventional wrapping paper, and not reuseable like a gift bag, but it does present well for a special gift occasion. If you're interested in ordering, check out the website here.
