Hershey's - makers of those yummy chocolate candies - recently sent me a care package with some Hershey candy, as well as some fun information of the brand. (I'd have taken a photo of the candy, but I learned a valuable lesson - don't leave candy on the counter and go nap for a few hours. Husbands will attack! lol) Apparently we aren't the only ones who love to dress up for Halloween - more than 50% of adults do too, and a national survey that was taken shows that people who loves Hershey's are most likely to dress up as a vampire, witch, or monster.
They got me there - I dress up as a witch every year. There's only been one year in my life that I've gone as anything else (my mother would gleefully show you pictures of me as a newbie dressed as a witch - a tradition I've been more than happy to continue on with my daughter!). When I was 15, I came up with the bright idea (sarcasm there) to go as Tommy Lee from Motley Crue. Don't ask. The following year I was right back to my witchy self!
Here's some more fun information:
About 30 percent of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, Kit Kat Wafer Bar and Hershey’s Milk Chocolate lovers will do the monster mash this year as a vampire, witch or monster.
Fans of Twizzlers Twists may get the chance to show their dance moves as they twist the night away dressed in garb from the 1950s. More than 41 percent stated they plan to dress-up in period piece costumes from different eras of the 20th century.
Jolly Rancher lovers will most likely sport a cape on the holiday, as 23 percent expressed a desire to channel superhuman powers as their favorite superhero.
I know nutrition and diet minded folks always say to purchase candy to hand out that you don't like, so you won't eat it all - but where is the fun in that? Plus, I want any trick or treaters to leave my house with the good loot! It's no fun when you are a kid to get the junky stuff. (I still remember houses that were handing out religious pamplets only - and that was certainly 25 years ago!) Since we don't get a lot of trick or treaters out here, I buy the stuff we like so the leftovers doesn't go to waste.

So what's your favorite kind of Hershey's candy? I have a thing for Special Dark bars - mmmm! DH's poison is Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, and the munchkin has discovered the joys of Hershey's kisses!
I received samples of the products mentioned above. All survey information came from Hershey's; all opinions are mine.
