...DH is helping me with this post and he says he feels left out. He wants me to type GO COWBOYS! Men! There. I hope he's happy now. (and now back to your regularly scheduled post here...)

The folks over at Wisk sent over this little tailgating package so we could have some fun:
...DH also wanted me to tell you that the hamburger press you see in the photo is from Crate & Barrel, and if your DH/SO/Daddies don't have one, you must give them one as their holiday or Father's Day present. And he wants me to share with you his gourmet burger creation:
Wisk, you have created a monster. LOL He made burgers three days in a row! (Less cooking for me, I can't complain.)
Our task was to get the t-shirt with some carbohydrate stains - specifically a mother's nemesis - ketchup! See the cute Corgi modeling the t-shirt for you?
DH also thought it would be funny if he let the kiddo paint the stains while poor Captain was still wearing the t-shirt. Not happening!!! The t-shirt went on the counter:
And DH decided he wanted to paint an X on the shirt instead of a simple swoosh:
That was pretty big! I wasn't sure about Wisk being able to handle this one - I thought this shirt was going to be a goner for sure. (I was thankful it wasn't one of my daughter's, lol) We blotted the stain to get rid of excess ketchup and pre-treated with the Wisk Laundry Detergent - making sure the entire X was covered:
I made him rub it back and forth (hey, he made that big X), to let the detergent get into those fibers, and then we let it sit for five minutes:
I still figured that shirt was doomed to become a rag. After the time was up, we rinsed it for awhile under warm water, rubbing it back and forth. (This part would have gone a lot faster if DH had just stuck to a swoosh instead of the X LOL)
Believe it or not, the majority of the ketchup was gone:
While I wouldn't take family portraits in the shirt because I can still see part of the X, it's definitely faded enough to become a play shirt for the park! I bet if it had been a slightly darker color shirt, we'd probably not even notice it. I washed it with my next load of whites and tossed it in the playclothes drawer.
Have tailgating or BBQing stains of your own? If you head over to coupons.com right now, there's a printable coupon available to save $1.00 off your next purchase of Wisk - try pre-treating your stains with it and see if it helps!
Just in case you didn't know, you can find Wisk over on Facebook, where you can ask questions about your laundry issues, find out about new coupons, etc! Wisk is also over on Twitter too!
Wisk sponsored this post. I did receive monetary compensation for this post, but you'd get the same entertaining (hopefully you think so) opinions and remarks out of me regardless. Mamma has to pay for that new laptop somehow. ;)

Yeah, I don't blame you for not wanting to make the mess of the shirt while the dog was wearing it, lol, but that is a cute photo op! Dogs in t-shirts are always so funny to me, lol!
