Review: Dunkin’ Donuts Holiday Flavored Coffee

Mom Central recently asked if I wanted to be a part of the Dunkin’ Donuts Blog Tour. Don't get too excited - we're not talking their donuts today, but rather their home packaged holiday flavored coffees! Caffeine!

This actually couldn't have come at a better time - I've been having a hard time fending off DH's requests for a competitor's kiosk coffee. He's like a kid, begging. (Actually, I think he's worse. lol) I'm not spending $5 a pop every time we walk into a store for the drink he wants. Dunkin’ Donuts has just solved my problem by coming out with their home packaged holiday flavored coffees. It's available in Pumpkin Spice, Vanilla Nut, and Mocha Mint flavors.

I remember having Dunkin' Donuts when I lived in New Hampshire - we didn't have them anywhere nearby where I grew up. (I think they were more of an East Coast thing years ago?) I haven't had them since, so I was actually excited to give these new flavors a try.

We tried out the Vanilla Nut first. Our new coffee maker has different settings for how strong we want it to brew, so we make our coffee normally pretty strong, and my review is based on that - if your coffee maker is more basic, it might not be as strong so it may taste totally different to you. The smell when it (and the other flavors) is brewing is amazing!

I have to tell you that after adding in a bit of whipped cream, and a little bit of chopped chocolate chips, it was like having the pricey drinks at the coffee shop at a fraction of the cost. It took less time than waiting in line for my drink too, and I didn't have to worry about changing out of my pjs to go get one. ;) I'm not a fan of mint, so I left the Mocha Mint up to my DH alone. He said it was so-so, and actually preferred the Pumpkin Spice and Vanilla Nut flavors more. I'm actually thinking of trying the Mocha Mint as a cold drink over ice and see if I like it that way.

While it's not the same as smaller coffee house coffee beans, these flavors are still pretty good for store bought already ground coffee. If you're not a fan of flavored coffees though, you probably won't like Dunkin’ Donuts' holiday flavors.

If you are hosting Thanksgiving or other holiday dinners, or even just in need of a quick gift to bring along, you might want to snag some of these holiday flavored coffees. They'll make a great way to wind down after dinner, or while cleaning up. Now these three flavors are only available for a limited time, so if you're a caffeine addict like us, you had better hurry and stock up! lol You can find them at stores like Fred Meyer.

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Smuckers and received necessary products to facilitate my review. In addition, I received a gift certificate to thank me for taking the time to participate.

Love the flavors, wished they sold them year round, sometimes I just have a taste for pumpkin spice in the summer.
