Don't let the gloom and doom of this title fool you - it's got a lot of great information on food storage even if the world isn't ending. lol ;) I think it's probably the best food storage book there is.

OK, this one below is more recipes, but it has some awesome ideas, especially if you have some shelf space to have your mason jars. Seriously, you'll never buy packaged side dishes and stuff again (well, except maybe when they are free lol) and the best part is, you know exactly what's going into your mixes. The finished jars also make great gifts - so if you are still trying to make last minute handmade gifts, this title could help?

My goal for 2011 is to expand my food storage. In order to do so, we're going to have to think out of the box more - you've seen my food storage area in past FSF posts, and our home isn't that big, so it's going to take a lot of creativity in order to do so. I'm also hoping to be able to do more canning this coming year, since this past one was a complete and utter bust! (Yes, I'm still mad the the person who switched the labels on those tomato plants I purchased!)
What are your food storage goals for 2011?

Just out of curiosity, are you LDS? And what are your food storage goals? If you've mentioned them in the past, I've forgotten, sorry. Just wondered if you do 3 mo, 1 yr or 10 yr... Hope you don't think I'm nosy.
catnap: Actually, no, (although many friends are) but I agree with the teachings on food storage 100%. I'm aiming for one year now - we are at about a 3 month supply right now. I'd love 10 years of long term one day, but I will have to wait until we move to start in on that one!
