Did you know that 89% of adults will include candy in their winter holiday celebrations according to a survey by the National Confectioners Association?

I'm definitely part of that 89%! LOL Normally, I have to hide MY favorite chocolate in some of my hidden stash places, or it gets consumed way too quickly. ;) Hershey's sent me a great assortment of their candy, and I filled my favorite candy basket with Hershey's kisses - would you believe it's not even close to being empty yet? I'm surprised, because I've learned that they make good bribery. (I know, I'm a bad Mom! lol)

I'm sure I am not the only one who leaves chocolate out for everyone during the holiday season, and Hershey's has lots of holiday wrapped goodies that look festive in bowls, such as the Hershey’s Cookies ‘N’ Crème Santas (which are brand new this year!) and the Reese’s Peanut Butter Trees - which mysteriously disappeared thanks to my DH way too quickly.
He says aliens ate them.
I don't believe him. ;)
As a child, our stockings were always filled with candy and fruit. The Rolo Reindeer Cane just begs to be peeking out of a stocking! I love Rolos - but I have a habit of putting them in the freezer so they take forever to melt in my mouth. I've found it keeps me from eating five at once. ;) This holiday season, I am trying to bake many of our gifts - who doesn't love yummy home baked goodness? Have you ever made Rolo cookies before? They are like the cookies you make with Hershey Kisses, but you use Rolos instead - yum! If you are looking for some great recipes this holiday season, you have to check out Hershey's site - they have a lot on there! I'm thinking of trying to bake the Sensational Peppermint Pattie Brownies - I'm not fond of peppermint at all, but these are very tempting! There's crafts and other things on the site too, so be sure to check it out!
Win it! Thanks to Hershey's, one lucky reader will win a stocking full of candy that contains: Rolo Reindeer Cane (3.44oz), Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Santa (1.2oz), Hershey’s Cookies ‘N’ Crème Nutcracker Moulded Bar (3.5oz), Hershey’s Pot of Gold Truffles Sampler (1.05oz), Reese’s Peanut Butter Trees (10.8oz bag). To enter, share your holiday candy traditions!
As always, you can receive extra entries for:

That's four (4) possible entries! Giveaway ends December 11th at 11:59 PM PST, and please leave your email address in your entry or have it available in your profile. US only, sorry :( Good luck everyone!! :) (Short date on this one in hopes you could receive your prize in time to gift it this holiday season - I can't guarantee it however!)
I received samples of the products mentioned above. All survey information came from Hershey's; all opinions are mine.

Everybody gets candy canes!
Our holiday candy tradition is filling the stockings with lots of holiday chocolates and treats. Like you as a child i remember stockings filled with candy and fruit. We always got an orange and a candy cane and it wasnt Christmas without a lifesaver book. Remember those??? I fill my husband stocking with charleston chews his favorite candy and pick up slim jims and beef jerky. My college aged daughters get holiday wrapped candy but mostly gifts like body wash and gift cards.
Hershey kisses are a very important part of our Christmas traditions.... I always put Hershey kisses in our daughter's stocking and I use them to make my peanut butter blossom cookies.

My holiday candy traditions? Does consuming huge quantities between Halloween and New Year's count as a tradition? We always have the X-mas colored M & M's, and my mom always gets a huge box of See's and some ribbon candy, but basically, as long as it is chocolate, it will be consumed in this family of five as soon as it comes through the door.

Candy Traditions for my family have evolved in the last few years. It use to be we would only have some candy canes on our tree. Now We have two glass Christmas trees that we fill with candy. ( we thought we lost one, a couple of years ago and bought another one. So now we have two.)
We make Turtle Pretzels, which are mini pretzels, with melted Rolo's (chocolate covered carmel) ontop and then press in a peacan. These are such a hit and we make them yearly.
Thanks so much for this wonderful giveaway.

Our Christmas Tradition is to make a homemade birthday cake for Jesus and sing Happy Birthday to him on Christmas. We put candles on the cake, it doesn't matter how many candles because he's eternal. We blow the candles out together. We say "We are not blowing out the light of this world, we are taking his love into our hearts."

Ok, here's a strange holiday candy story. My DS decided years ago he doesn't like chocolate. (Running joke in our house is that he was switched at birth. Our fat, stupid son who craves chocolate is living with some very smart, skinny parents somewhere; you'd never believe we gave birth to this boy.) Now, because I asked MIL not to give him candy when he was a toddler, she took that as a green light to shower him with candy at every opportunity. Christmas she'd go all out and buy him a 5 lb bag (that's FIVE POUNDS, folks) of gummy bears. Every year. Even if you really love gummy bears, it's hard to eat 5 lbs of them. Funny thing is, he doesn't like them. (She never asked.) We gave most of them away, but we still have leftover bears lurking in the food storage closet. Maybe in an emergency we'll be glad to gnaw them. Anywho, I LOVE chocolate. Bring it on.

I hope I'm not yet too late for the promo. I used to keep a basket of chocolate in my room. yes, you heard it right a basketful from the trick and treat. This may sound mean , but everyday I used to get some candies that are supposed to be for the kids. haha! Also I buy some chocolates after school. No wonder my Hendersonville dentist is no longer surprise with my tooth problems.
Dentists (Hendersonville, TN-based) usually ask me to bring the chocolate in the clinic than keeping them lonely in my room. Don't worry, I have a little heart, I share some to them., but not my favorite milk bars!
Our holiday tradition is to make potato candy and cinnamon candy and put together a gingerbread house. The stockings are usually filled with chocolate coins, Reese's peanut butter trees, and candy canes.
