It sounds like we are supposed to have some colder weather our way with maybe some snow flurries this week, so I hesitant to plan - it's like a gimme around here, every time we drop under 25 degrees no matter what I seem to do, our pipes freeze. I fear having a lot of meat defrosted and then we loose the power, or I have to wash dishes using our rationed emergency water supply.
We were so-so on our turkey on Saturday. It was our first time using one bought from Albertsons, and when we opened it from the package, neither my DH nor I were very impressed. I used some of the leftovers to make a turkey noodle soup in the slow cooker for us (easy peasy - leftover cut up turkey, two cups of water, 3-4 cut up carrots, 1-2 stalks chopped celery, and 2 cups cooked rigatte noodles - those placed in the slow cooker at the last hour. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.) The rest went into a stew for the Corgis.
Happy New Years!
