Random Thoughts Tuesday - Should I Be Building An Ark?

randomtuesday

Baked bunny. That's what I am feeling for dinner. lol He turned into psycho bunny earlier this morning and he's in time out right now. Every time I would start to fall back asleep, he'd wake me back up by throwing stuff off his top deck, dragging his food bowl around. It sounds funny, but trust me, behind that adorable bunny cuteness, there's a rotten side. ;)

We will have lived in Washington five years in March, and last night was only the third thunderstorm we've seen since we've been here. I miss them. I know, it sounds funny, I hate the rain but I love thunderstorms. But I swear there's a difference in the air after a thunderstorm vs a regular dreary downpour.

Judging by the two 30 pound shaking chickens we had in the bed with us last night, I will hate hurricane season back home. The Corgis were terrified!

Seriously, it's been so overcast the lights have been on all day here... again. Besides the fact that this is starting to become murder on my electric bill (it's a conspiracy! LOL!), it's depressing. I really understand why they call Seattle the suicide capital of the US - if you don't have the strength to combat it, you're doomed.

....and a torrential downpour of what sounds like freezing rain starts. Great. Lovely, just lovely.

....I wonder if those that live in the extreme cold and snow areas are semi safe from a zombie invasion. You know, because they'd freeze outside. Which makes me wonder, if you sprayed water on a slow zombie in below zero temps, would they freeze in place?

That still wouldn't make me want to move somewhere like that. For all my complaining about the rain in this post, believe me, I am incredibly thankful it isn't snow coming down. (shudders)

I am convinced all Diet Dr Pepper lovers are soda hoarders. Every time it goes on sale, I can go within an hour of the store opening, and the shelf is cleared out. What's up with that? (says the person who was planning to buy 10 LOL!)

I thought I had some luck yesterday at Grocery Outlet because my cart was actually full... and then we got home and I realized 90% of it was drinks for DH to take to work (they had a bunch of stuff 3/$1 and 2/$1) Phooey! Although, he used his debit card the other day at the gas station and I had a heart attack. I love him, but he has no concept of money. lol Hence, why the cart was filled up - I bought all that stuff for about two gas station trips by him. I think I liked it better when he didn't remember his PIN. (Is that bad of me? lol) And it's not like he didn't have a ton of snacks to choose from at home.

I am so tempted to just order pizza for dinner tonight.

Found you at The Unmom's RTT.

Pizza, absolutely.

I like getting people's opinions on the NW. We may be stationed there someday, and I want to know what we're getting into... sounds like a lot of rain!
