DH has been whining that he never gets to review anything. (I beg to differ!) So when the opportunity came along to review something from Costume Discounters, I let DH choose. He's been on the hunt for a new hat, so he choose the Endless Ride Shantung Panama Hat:

Looks cool with the skulls on it in the photo, right? He has a thing for black cowboy hats. He'd have a wardrobe full of them, if it wasn't so hard finding things that fit on that overgrown melon of his. lol Here's what it looked like it when it arrived on him:

Isn't he adorable? (LOL) If you're on the hunt for cowboy costumes, there's some fun choices available for kids and adults as well. Don't worry, you don't have to be a Grim Reaper style cowboy like my DH. LOL! There are plenty of more traditional choices - and if you already have a few pieces, you can snag accessories like we did with the hat, or a full costume. The cool part about this site too is that if you find the same (identical) costume elsewhere on the Internet, Costume Discounters will match the price PLUS take off 20%! There are not a lot of sites will to do that. Right now they have free shipping on all orders over $70 using promo code FREE70 - and they have free exchanges too, so if you accidentally choose the wrong size, you're not stuck with it.
Warning: now as someone who calls herself "goth-y", I've had to rely on costume shopping to add to my wardrobe throughout the years. It can be hit or miss - sometimes you score a piece that looks absolutely incredible, or a really great deal (I snag all my striped and spiderweb tights on after Halloween clearance!) and then you end up with stuff that are clearly once or twice, costume wear. This hat falls into the latter. Don't purchase it thinking you'll day in and day out of use from it, but rather once or twice wearing for a party or a single occasion. (If you're looking for something for daily wear, I highly suggest purchasing a "real" cowboy hat - a la Stetson - and decorating it with a skull belt buckle (cut off the hinge with bolt cutters if it shows) or using part of a skull necklace or choker) If you store this hat (the one I reviewed) properly, you'll probably get a couple of Halloween's or parties' worth of costumes out of it.
I received the product mentioned above in order to share my opinions. All opinions are my own.
