Review & Giveaway: Granola Gourmet

Because we always seem to be snacking on granola and other snack bars around here, I'm always on the hunt for new flavors and brands to try. Eating the same kind over and over again can get kind of boring after awhile!

Granola Gourmet are 100% natural vegan energy bars that were created by a diabetic and his family. They are both wheat and dairy free, making it a great option for families with some food allergies. (These are not nut or soy free however) They also contain no refined sugar, and are kosher. depending on the variety, they can have anywhere from 10-13g whole grains and 391-590mg Omega-3's - both of which are really great for our bodies. They also average around 140-150 calories per bar, so they are just right in line with the right amount of calories for a snack for most healthy diets.

I was sent on over bars in Ultimate Berry, Ultimate Fudge Brownie, Ultimate Mocha Fudge and Ultimate Cran Orange flavors.


I really liked the texture of these bars - not overly crunchy and not overly soft, just right in between, and I could clearly see the ingredients like the organic oats, unlike some bars I've had in the past. I liked that many of the ingredients were organic! DH gave two thumbs up to the Ultimate Fudge Brownie, and I liked the Ultimate Mocha Fudge the best. The Ultimate Berry though, was a little crumbly, and seemed to have a bit of an aftertaste to me. DH says he didn't taste an aftertaste in the Ultimate Cran-Orange, so perhaps it was just that one bar.
