Book Review: Eat Your Peas For Mom: Simple Truths And Happy Insights

I recently received a copy of the book Eat Your Peas For Mom: Simple Truths And Happy Insights with words by Cheryl Karpen and art by Sandy Fougner.

Eat Your Peas For Mom is a three minute forever book, perfect as a little "gift book" or pick me up. It's a sweet little reminder to your mother about how loved she is. The book does start out with a verse from the Bible:

Her children rise up and call her blessed - Proverbs 31:28 (NKJV)

The book is full of simple, sweet phrases in a fun type style on a pretty ribbed parchment paper. The artwork is simple, with Spring colors that make this book the perfect gift for Mother's Day, which will be here before you know it! Reading through it just brought a smile to my face, and I would happily gift it to my own mother. While the book does contain the bible verse shown above, it's mostly just uplifting and encouraging words ("The older I get, the more you amaze me") - so if the mother to be gifted isn't overly religious, this book could still be a great choice.

Eat Your Peas For Mom: Simple Truths And Happy Insights with words by Cheryl Karpen and art by Sandy Fougner is a hardcover inspirational gift book published by Thomas Nelson. This book will be released on April 5, 2011, and it is 80 pages long. The suggested retail price is $12.99, but Amazon has it available for $10.39 on pre-order as of this posting. It is also available for download to Kindles and other e-readers.

I received a copy of this book in order to share my thoughts on it. All opinions are my own, and not that of the publisher(s) or author(s).
