Thoughts For Japan...
The folks in Japan and here in the US getting hit with the tsunami waves are in my thoughts, and I hope they are in yours, too!
As you probably know, the American Red Cross will be helping as much as they can - if you are thinking about donating to help out, they are probably one of the best charities to choose.
And this is where I urge you to please, please, please (!), sit down with your family this weekend and go over your emergency plans together. Check those flashlight batteries (and don't forget to check the smoke alarm ones since it's the time change on Sunday!), update emergency contacts in phones and wallets, and make copies of all important documents. Those in hurricane prone areas may want to check through their emergency supplies, and make sure any food included in it isn't expired or icky, and that water has been rotated if it's been awhile.
I call it anti-Murphy's Law - if you are prepared for any situation, nothing will happen - and if it should, well, at least you aren't running around like a chicken without a head! ;)

Isn't it horrible?? I can't believe the devastation. How they are all going to pick up the pieces and go on is going to be very interesting. I mean, how do you ever begin cleaning up??? Sad. Very sad.
