Review & Giveaway: Spongeables

My happy time is my shower time. It's the few moments of sometimes when I am very lucky, quiet time I get all to myself. I love pretty smelling bath products that help me enjoy those, oh, two or three minutes in the shower. LOL

Spongeables are "body wash in a sponge". That's right, they are bath sponges infused with your body wash. No struggling to open a body wash, you can just grab the sponge with a built in buffer on one side, and exfoliate and wash up.

I received the Spongeables Lavender Nectar full size and travel size "scrubby sponges" to review. The full size (3.5 oz) contains about 20 uses, and the travel size (1.2 oz) contains about 5. (Maybe a little more uses, depending on your usage of the product)

On the first use, it was easy to lather up. The lavender scent was strong on the first few uses (keep this in mind if you are anti-scent) and then it faded a little as the days went on. I really loved the scent though - it was relaxing and I love the smell of lavender! I'm used to using a body "pouf" style sponge, so at first I was a little worried about using this style - it's more like a bar of soap. However, it has rounded spots, like waves, on the side that fit your fingers perfectly, and I didn't struggle to use it at all. The buffer on the one side was just perfect for exfoliating the drier skin on my legs and it was easy to just flip it over to do all of my body - unlike switching out multiple products in the shower to get the same experience.

I recommend keeping the Spongeables on one of those bar soap style trays in the shower when you're not using it. After a week's worth of uses for me, the lather is still there and going strong in the full size product.

It's nice to kind of have an "all in one" product in the shower - instead of having a bottle of body wash, a regular bath pouf, and then an exfoliating/buffer pouf, I get the same effect with a product that takes up less space than even just one of those products! This is great if you have a small shower, or especially for college kids taking their bath products from the dorm room to communal showers and for folks camping. The travel size seems perfect for those flying - it fits easily into any carry on and you don't have to worry about the ounce rule!

Spongeables carries other styles, even one in a rubber ducky for kids, and an anti-cellulite body wash which I am starting to think I need these days (sigh!) If you join their Facebook page, you'll receive news of new products and online-store coupons and discounts.

Win it! One lucky reader will win their very own set of Spongeables Lavender Nectar full size and travel size products. To enter, head on over to Spongeables' web site, and tell us what else you'd love to try.
