DVD Review: Yo Gabba Gabba! Circus

My family and I recently received a copy of the new DVD Yo Gabba Gabba! Circus to review.

It's time to break out your funky dances! Yo Gabba Gabba! Circus is the latest DVD from the totally fun Nickelodeon series featuring DJ Lance Rock and his pals Muno, Brobee, Plex, Toodee and Foofa! We love Yo Gabba Gabba! around here, so we were excited to find out that Yo Gabba Gabba! Circus has a brand new, never seen before in the US episode included on the DVD called "Treasure (Hunt)", as well as one of the first Yo Gabba Gabba! episodes ever, "Fun". Also included are "Flying" and of course, "Circus".

"Circus" probably goes down as one of the best Yo Gabba Gabba! episodes ever, as it's special guest is none other than Weird Al Yankovic as the Ringmaster of the circus who teaches the gang some skills to put on their own parade. Sarah Silverman also makes a (subdued) appearance as well. In "Flying", Brobee wants to fly, but is stuck since he doesn't have any wings! Thanks to Sparkles though, he can have a trip in a hot air balloon if he can help her fix it in time. "Fun" is another great episodes as it shows kids that eating a healthy breakfast and dancing to music is fun, with the help of special guests The Aggrolites.

There are no special features included on this one.

Yo Gabba Gabba! Circus will be released this Tuesday, June 14th, 2011. Full screen format with a total running time of 95 minutes long, it is not rated, but safe for all ages - appealing most to the 2-5 crowd. The suggested retail price is $16.99, but Amazon has it available on pre-order for $12.99 as of this posting. (Netflix users: this title is not currently available, but check back.)

I did receive a copy of this DVD in order to view it and share my opinions of it.
