Making A List...

Alright, so in about 2 weeks from now, the insanity will be descending upon us. Us + my family + his family in our little house = hello, sardines. I would try to lock myself in the bathroom from time to time, but since we only have one, I'm sure there would be pounding on the door fairly quick. Sigh!

In exasperation, yesterday I went through and made a list of everything that needed to be done before they arrive. It was two notebook pages long - eek! Some of it was things that really needed to be done - ie, painting the deck, some of it stuff that I do on a regular basis anyways - like wipe down the cabinets and clean the fridge out, and then things that I am only doing because they are visiting - like making sure there is easy access to paper plates and like that so no one has to ask. Oh, and stocking up on toilet paper. I don't even want to think about how much toilet paper we will probably be going through, LOL

In a perfect world, we'll get through the list - but I'm not so sure. The way the rain keeps showing up, I can't get started on painting. Of course, right now the sun is playing hide and seek with me, so I am tempted to get out there and start painting - but it's supposed to rain today, the Weather Channel says? This is so frustrating! Seriously, here is the weather for the next few days:


I'm supposed to paint, how? Even if it dries enough Friday that I can paint Saturday, the rain comes back in Sunday before it would be completely dry! *bangs head against wall* AHHHHHHH! At least we should be able to get the bathroom painted, I guess. I still need white paint to fix the hallway trim, too, and I suppose I am going to have to break down and buy whatever is on sale. I guess I'll drag DH to Lowe's when he gets home. Good grief, they are starting to know us there. LOL
