Nearly End Of June Randomness
Here we go again - my inbox is yet again full of great stuff, and rather than have 5 million new posts for y'all today, here's a bit of contests, coupons, charity news, and fun stuff for you all in one nifty post. You know the drill, right? ;) Have fun entering, save a little money, or support a needful charity - the choice is yours.
Tupperware Brands will donate $1 to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America for every “like” of www.Facebook.com/chainofconfidence. The Chain of Confidence Facebook Page guides women to success by providing them the tools and mentorship needed for personal and professional growth.
Have you seen the movie Super 8 yet? DH went to see it on his birthday and said it was awesome. If you're unfamiliar with the movie, it's set back in the 1970's, where several kids are filming scenes for a zombie movie with a Super 8 camera (hence, the title of the movie) when an accident happens on the train tracks. It turns out the train is connected to the military, and strange happenings start around town - all the dogs run away, etc. I'll stop there so I don't ruin it for anyone, but you'll see a lot of retro items featured in the film, including Rocket Poppeteers frozen pops. 7-11 stores will be carrying these all Summer long, along with other retro foods, and the Rocket Poppeteers frozen pops are just 98 cents each! They make a cheap treat when you're on road trips (we picked up some the other day!). You can also unlock an exclusive Rocket Poppeteers digital comic book on www.slurpee.com by redeeming five Slurpee Nation Rewards points.
Four US family members will be running across the US this Summer - the first time in history related folks have done it together - to raise awareness for increased choices in health care to Main Street America. The Run: Moving Natural Medicine Forward [www.therun.org] is an extraordinary 3,250-Mile run across America! Naturopathic Physician Dr. Dennis Godby and team, are setting out to increase awareness, educate and empower people about Natural Medicine: preventing disease, finding and treating the cause of illness, and revitalizing the nation’s health. If you'd like to follow along with their journey (they start July 17th in San Francisco), and find out more about natural health choices, click here.
...I wonder how many pairs of running shoes they will go through on this journey?!
