DVD Review: Dora The Explorer: Dora's Big Party Pack

My family and I recently received a copy of the new Nickelodeon DVD box set Dora The Explorer: Dora's Big Party Pack to review.

It's time to celebrate with Dora, as Dora The Explorer: Dora's Big Party Pack is the latest offering from the popular Nick Jr show. Like the other box set released from Nickelodeon over the last few months, the three DVD's included have all been previously released. If you're not new to Dora The Explorer, and you already own some of the DVD's included, you'll probably want to stay away from this box set. Otherwise, the DVD's are included in a fun box set that's easy to take to the grandparents or perfect for gift giving - and purchasing the box set ends up being cheaper than purchasing the three titles separately! Included in this box set are Dora's Big Birthday Adventure, Super Silly Fiesta and It's A Party!.

Episodes included in this set are "Dora's Big Birthday Adventure", "Dora Helps Save The Birthday Wizzle", "Wizzle Wishes", "Super Silly Fiesta", "Boot's Special Day", "Stuck Truck", "The Big Potato", "Daisy, la QuinceaƱera", "The Big Pinata", "Surprise", and "The Fix-It Machine". As you can tell by the titles, this box set has a party theme, making it a great birthday present. It also contains several special features: "Dora's Big Birthday DVD Game", "Dora's Super Silly Search Game", "Dora's Present Search", Nicktrition Tips For Parents, and a Baby Nick Jr Music Video. (eh... but I guess we should be happy there's some extra goodies, right?)

Let me tell you, my daughter's eyes got HUGE when she saw this giant box of Dora arrive, LOL.

Dora The Explorer: Dora's Big Party Pack will be available this coming Tuesday, July 12th, 2011. Full screen format, the total running time of the three DVDs included runs 291 minutes long. The set is not rated, but safe for all ages, and really meant for the preschool crowd, or ages 2 to 4. The suggested retail price is $24.99, but Amazon has it available on pre-order for just $17.99 as of this posting.

I received a copy of this DVD in order to share my thoughts on it. All opinions are my own.
