DVD Review: Yo Gabba Gabba! Music Makes Me Move!

My family and I recently received a copy of the new DVD Yo Gabba Gabba! Music Makes Me Move! to review.

Get ready to dance funky! The latest release from the popular Nickelodeon show Yo Gabba Gabba! is here! DJ Lance Rock and his pals Muno, Brobee, Plex, Toodee and Foofa will help you dance the afternoon away with four episodes: "Band", "Move", "Differences", and "Train".

In "Band", the gang forms a band with DJ Lance and plays all their tunes for Gabba Land. In "Move", kids will learn different ways to control their body, pace themselves, and keep their coordination - all with the help of DJ Lance and his friends. In "Differences", Muno finds out he needs glasses, and his friends show him that being different from everyone else is a good thing. I highly recommend this episode for anyone with young kids who have to wear glasses! And in "Train", kids will learn all about locomotives in this adventure about trains. They'll learn about working together and overcoming fears!

We love Yo Gabba Gabba! over here (well, DH, not so much), and I appreciate that this show helps get kids moving around and being active - as well as touching on important subjects here and there like "Differences" does on this particular DVD.

There are no special features included on this one. Here's hoping that eventually these Yo Gabba Gabba! episodes get released onto Blu-Ray with some great bonus features!

Yo Gabba Gabba! Music Makes Me Move! will be released this Tuesday, August 9th, 2011. Full screen format, it is not rated - but best for the preschool 2-4 crowd. The total running time is 95 minutes long. The suggested retail price is $16.99, but Amazon has it available on pre-order for $13.99 as of this posting. (Netflix users: this title is not currently available, but add it to your queue to be notified when it is. There are a bunch of Yo Gabba Gabba! episodes available for instant streaming as of this post though.)

I received a copy of this DVD in order to share my funky thoughts on it. All opinions are my own!
