Giveaway: Auro-Dri

Have you been spending lots of time this summer by the pool or swimming at the beach? With the heat wave most of the country has had so far, it's been the only way to cool off. Unfortunately, with being in the water, some folks could end up with swimmers' ears. Swimmers' ears, which are caused by eat trapped in the ear canal due to bathing, showering, and swimming, can get really uncomfortable, especially for kids. Symptoms include pain, swelling, and itching of the external ear canal and outer ear. According to the CDC, more than 2 million individuals get swimmers’ ear each year.

The easiest way to deal with swimmers' ear is to use special ear drops to clear them out. One of the products on the market is called Auro-Dri. Auro-Dri is an over the counter ear drying aid that clears water from swimmers’ ears and prevents clogged ear discomfort. It is the official product of the American Swimming Coaches Association and safe to use on children over two years of age. Simply tilt your head sideways, and use 4 to 5 drops into each affected ear. (I know this is a little harder for wiggly kids lol) I think this is one of those products that you don't think about until suddenly you need it - now that I know more about the product, I'll definitely keep a container on hand! I really don't want any of us to needlessly suffer.

If you'd like to do the same, you can print a coupon to save $0.55 off your next purchase of any Auro-Dri product - they also make products for earaches. Simply fill out a bit of information in order to print it.

Win it! Thanks to Auro-Dri, one lucky reader will win a package of Auro-Dri to help combat swimmers' ear this summer. To enter, visit Auro-Dri's page on swimmers' ear, and tell us something you learned.

I did receive samples of the product(s) mentioned above in order to try them out and share my thoughts on them. All opinions are my own, and your experience may vary. As this is an OTC product, do mention any aches and pains you might be having with your doctor and any products you are using - you never know if it might be a sign of a more serious problem.
