Review: Fashionista Cahootie

Once upon a time (in a galaxy far far away! ha! well, it seems like it!) back when I was in elementary school, we used to make these fun little toys out of paper. They fit onto your hand, and your would roll a dice to see how many "moves" you made. Each piece of paper had something such as which guy you were going to marry, where you'd live, what car you drove, etc... and you'd end up with your whole little "life story" by the time it was over. You could end up living in a mansion in Paris driving a Lamborghini married to someone like Corey Haim. (Hey! It was the 80's!) Of course, one of the options you could "land" on, was always something you didn't want, such as a really ugly guy no one liked, and a beat up car.

...come to think of it, I always ended up living in a shack. There are moments I feel like I do...


Anyways, apparently our little dinky town wasn't the only one who played this game, because now there are Cahooties! Instead of wearing through a paper one every recess, now there is a plastic version, complete with re-usable stickers. Seriously, my nostalgic heart was in HEAVEN. A toy I knew everything about! They sent on over the Fashionista Cahootie for me to review:


The Fashionista Cahootie is perfect to pick out each school day's outfit for the 'tween in your life. This one has everything from accessories for you to wear like shades and bling to the style of outfit you'll be wearing. The stickers come off if you don't want to use them, and they have little questions like "Whose wardrobe are you most envious of?" - perfect questions for sleepovers if you ask me. Now it's best for ages 7 and up, but that doesn't mean younger kids can't have supervised fun with this one too! Just watch the small decorational gemstones with the younger crowd.

If your daughter isn't into fashion that much but you want to share the nostalgia with them too, there are 18 different Cahooties to choose from, plus four special Animal Planet related ones! I am going to have to snag the Cats Rule one for my daughter. Actually, I eyed the Truth or Dare one for a second til I really THOUGHT about it - she doesn't need that one for a VERY VERY long time - like when she's 30 or something! LOL!!!

Cahooties retail for $6.99 and you can find them at stores like Toys 'R Us (online), Justice, some Hallmark stores, and other locations. They have a handy dandy store locator on their website so you can find the closest store to you.
