Review: Honeycat Cosmetics

I like my bath products to have an attitude. I don't want plain ol' boring - I want something that smells good and looks good to make my few precious moments of "me" time enjoyable.

Honeycat Cosmetics puts a fresh, sexy spin on bath and body products - complete with a purrfectly fun logo with a black kitty cat on it. (My black cat crew approves with two paws up!) Honeycat products are created and developed by owner Theresa Spruill. The company makes everything from body powder to salts and soaks and even lip balms. All of the products are natural and not tested on animals - so I was already all excited right there. I was sent on over a package containing three items to try on out including the Warm Milk Martini, Chick of the Sea, and You Gotta Be Kitten Me.

The Honeycat Warm Milk Martini is a moisturizing powdered milk bath. Made with goat's milk powder and other ingredients you can pronounce (hurray!), you simply sprinkle a generous serving into your bath as you are filling it. It has a hint of lime and you can just barely smell that - but it was heavenly to zone out for a few minutes and come back out of the water with softer skin. I don't get to take a ton of baths, but this left me wanting to take a lot more! (and because of the ingredients used, it was easy to recycle some of the bathwater to water plants outside!) A 9.37 ounce container retails for $20.00.

Two baths for me in one week? It's amazing! They also sent over the Chick of the Sea foaming bath crystals. This is packaged adorably in what looks like a little sardine tin, keeping in tune with the kitty cat theme. And the smell? Oh my gosh - it's chocolate, raspberry, or mint! Unless you hate chocolate, this is absolutely PURRFECT to toss in the tub and relax after a stressful day - you'll end up looking like a prune because you will not want to get out of that tub! A 4 ounce tin retails for $9.00 - since it's a single "serve" tin, this is a little high, but if you don't mind the cost, it's totally worth it in my opinion.

And last, but certainly not least, I got to try out the You Gotta Be Kitten Me shower gel. It's a pomegranate scent - and you will not want to run out of this stuff, it smells so good! The do call it rich and thick, and it is - it gives a good lather so the bottle will last long if you don't use too much. A 16 ounce bottle retails for $20.00.

Psst... if you need a gift for a vampire loving friend, they have a fun little gift set available now called Love At First Bite. There's even a coffin shaped box in there. ;)

I'm in love with Honeycat Cosmetics, I'll admit it.

I received samples of the products mentioned above in order to try them out and share my thoughts on them. All opinions are my own.
