Thrifty Thursday - Sharpening Scissors

This week for my Thrifty Thursday post, I'm talking about a quick tip for keeping your scissors sharp.

Good quality scissors, especially sewing scissors, can easily set you back $50-60, sometimes more. Sure, you can purchase cheaper, but the lifespan is always shorter, which leads to more waste in our landfills. To keep those scissors as sharp as the day you purchased them, simply get a piece of fine sandpaper, and cut a few thin strips off the sides. This will sharpen your scissors for you, and no need to pay someone to sharpen them for you! Just be careful you don't cut yourself using your sharpened scissors, of course.
