Random Thoughts Tuesday - Peeking Through The Blinds

Dead Island and Resistance 3 out today.... we'll see which one of us gets our game into the PS3 first. LOL There's going to be a smackdown in our living room! ;)

So, the little frog that has hung out in my yard over the last few years (or, the grandfrogs) has decided my watering can makes the perfect toad house. A couple of days ago, I about had a heart attack when I saw something moving in it while I was refilling it in my kitchen. My eyesight was a little blurry from my allergies that day, so it took me a few seconds to realize it was the frog, and not one of the tarantula sized spiders we have roaming around here this summer. I'm sure the neighbors heard me scream though. lol

Magick is driving me crazy with his sensitive stomach again. I thought RAW would cure it, and he's still puking up stuff. Sigh!

The fires back in Texas are making me cry. :( I don't ever remember seeing it this bad when we were kids.

Not even the dogs want to be out in the yard, it's so crunchy. DH's black shoes were brown from our last walk, too. On one hand I don't complain about the lack of rain - the drier it is, the better my lungs are - but geez, it's a barren wasteland out here too, and we're supposed to be the rainy state here in Washington! I'm surprised though, I still see so many people wasting water by using their sprinkler in the daytime - how dense can you be? Hello, knock knock, it's a lost cause in the daytime since it just evaporates!

See, that's just the thing - they are so used to water galore in this state no one pays attention. They almost need a good drought so folks will learn to conserve water better. Sigh. :(

I have two incredibly bored Corgis here. I think they need a good hike as much as I do.

My apples are almost ready, but my zucchini that was doing so well has yellowed. Sob!

We had a couple of ambulances and a fire truck the other day at the neighbor. Guess who went all Mrs Kravitz and gave DH the play by play? It was the most entertaining thing in weeks around here, lol. I was asking DH to pass me the binocolours so I could see everything even clearer (it was the middle of the night).

...I'm still trying to convince DH he should shift gears and become an EMT. He's be one hot man in that uniform. ;)

......I've been trying for YEARS so it's never going to happen. A girl can dream though, right? ;)

..........when he was looking for a job when we first moved here, someone was hiring for a person to be in a squirrel costume. Yes, SQUIRREL. I tried so hard to get him to take that job. LOL!!!!

I also tried to get him to work at a funeral home. Don't laugh, it was the perfect job for him, but he balked when he was told he had to wear a tie.

What next> Quirky App Of The Day: Zombie Fishies Hey, at least it's a free app. I think I'd download it if I had an iPhone. lol

Even better: Escape Hordes of Undead in Zombie Highway It's another free one at the moment. I'm starting to think I just break down on get the phone... then again... I'd give it two weeks before it ended up in the sink, toilet, or DH's cup. (Don't laugh - all of the above has previously happened to my phones. lol)
