Review & Giveaway: Infiniti Pro by Conair You Wrap and Wave

Us Latinas have a thing for curly hair. I think it's the Latinas that keep mousse and gel on the store shelves, right? It sounds so funny, but I'm telling you - it's true! Way back in high school, since I lived in a very rural area, the bus would pick me up at 6:52 - yes, AM. I was out of bed every morning by 5:30 so I could have perfect curls. I went through curling irons like mad - since back then I would pour on the styling products and then use the curling iron - now that I think about it, it's a miracle I have any hair left on my head. LOL

These days, I'm a little more subdued with my hair styling, but I still love my curls. That's why I was excited to try out the Infiniti Pro by Conair You Wrap and Wave curling iron. (I would have killed to have had this in high school!) Unlike most curling irons, the You Wrap and Wave has TWO barrels! You can create a ton of different styles using just one hair appliance - everything from sexy waves to super tight spring curls. And because of the two barrels, it's a LOT easier to use on longer hair. (Well, if you have super long hair, maybe not, but my almost waist length hair worked with it alright) I wouldn't suggest using this one if you have hair shorter than your shoulders - I don't think you'd benefit from the double barrel to be honest. But if you have longer hair - the waves and spirals are killer. It made me wish for date night more often! ;)


The You Wrap and Wave also utilizes tourmaline ceramic technology to lessen hair damage, prevent hot spots, reduce frizz, and help eliminate static. It has ultra high heat - 400 degrees F - and it has auto shut off, so if you are like me and get distracted easy (hey, I'm a mom!), you don't have to worry that you will burn the house down. (I remember getting yelled at as a teen on more than one occasion for leaving my curling iron on... now that I think about it, I guess I can't blame my swiss cheese for brains on having mommy brain. lol) It is also ready to go in just 30 seconds, so you don't have to wait around forever. Just plug it in, and by the time you'll have pulled your combs out of the drawer, you're ready to use it.

Another thing that I really thought was cool was that it comes with a heat protective glove for your hand. I've burned my fingers (oh, and forehead lol) so many times over the years, that I really appreciate any extra protection I can get - just be sure to put it away with the curling iron so you don't loose it!

The Infiniti Pro by Conair You Wrap and Wave does retail for $39.99, which at first I thought was a little bit high, I'll admit - but it is more of a high end curling iron compared to the basic ones you'll find in the $10-15 range. It does comes with a 5 year limited warranty. I'm really pleased with the Infiniti Pro by Conair You Wrap and Wave, and I'm sure I will be getting the five years out of it - and when you think about it, the $40 is less than a single visit to the salon.
