CD Review & Giveaway: Daryl Hall - Laughing Down Crying

I recently received a copy of Daryl Hall's new CD, Laughing Down Crying to review.


Daryl Hall - one half of the legendary Hall & Oates - recently released his fifth solo CD, Laughing Down Crying - his first in 14 years. (I remember my dad owning 8 tracks from Hall & Oates. LOL Man I feel old!) The music on the CD has a lot of the old music vibe from him, while tossing in enough of a new vibe that there's no second guessing that this is new material. Sadly, this CD marks the last time Daryl Hall was able to collaborate with the legendary T-Bone Wolk, whom he has worked with for 30 years.

I really loved the title track "Laughing Down Crying" - it definitely was my favorite off the CD, although I enjoyed all of the songs on it. If you're a fan of the old guard - and love that bluesy, folksy house rock - you'll enjoy this CD.
