Victorious follows Tori Vega who attends a prestigious performing arts high school called Hollywood Arts. The school is filled with plenty of talented students, and while Tori was overwhelmed at the beginning, she has come out of her shell and let her talent shine as the season continues. If your kids like iCarly or Glee, they'll probably enjoy this one too, if they haven't already discovered it! It's best for the ages 9 and up crowd, though as a parent, you may want to decide for yourself.
Volume Two of the first season is a two disc set and contains nine episodes from the second half of the first season: "The Diddly-Bops", "Cat's New Boyfriend", "Sleepover At Sikowitz's", "The Wood", "The Great Ping-Pong Scam", "Wok Star", "Survival of the Hottest", "Wi-Fi In the Sky", and " Freak The Freak Out".
There is a cameo from celebrity gossip columnist Perez Hilton on the "Wi-Fi" episode.
The set also has some bonus materials including the crossover special with fellow Nickelodeon 'tween show iCarly called "iParty With Victorious", a behind the scene look at that special with a mash-up performance, and a music video, "Best Friend's Brother".
Victorious Season One Volume Two will be released on Tuesday, November 1st, 2011. Full screen format, it is not rated (see above for my thoughts), and has a total running time of 240 minutes long. The suggested retail price is $19.99, but Amazon has it available on pre-order for $13.99 as of this posting. (Netflix users: this title is not currently available, but add it to your DVD queue to be notified when it is.)
I received a copy of this DVD in order to view it and share my thoughts on it. All opinions are my own.
