Giveaway: Subway ANYtober

Good news for those trying to eat healthier on the run: now through October 31st, 2011 is ANYtober at your local participating Subway restaurant! That's right, any regular footlong sandwich is just $5 - from the Steak & Cheese to the Chicken & Bacon Ranch.


You can imagine that I am giddy with excitement, because that means we'll be eating a lot healthier at ZomBCon! I was having nightmares on what we would end up eating to be honest, because it's three and a half days with little breaks. We can pick up a foot long every day, and either share it, or put the second half away with an ice pack for later on when we are hungry again. It's great because I don't have to worry about fries or sandwiches going cold, and plus, we can pick up a bottle of soda instead of a fountain drink - which means we can hang onto it in a bag instead of having to throw it away before going into a panel.

We were sent on over a gift card so we could enjoy a Subway meal. We headed on over to our closest Subway to pick up dinner - apparently, everyone had heard the good news about ANYtober, because at 4 in the afternoon on a weekend, the line was to the door! I'll admit I sulked a little, because I was starving. LOL! I choose the Buffalo Chicken:


(Can you tell I love me some veggies? lol) DH got the Steak & Cheese, and the kiddo got a personal cheese pizza. Thanks to ANYtober, we saved almost $5, no coupon needed! This is sad, but I'm already trying to decide what sandwich I'll get next! LOL (I'm thinking the Sweet Onion Teriyaki?)
