Review: AlwaysFits.com Zombie Brain Gelatin Mold

What's a zombie get-together without brains? ;) (Trivia: the whole zombies + brains didn't come about until The Return of the Living Dead movie in 1985. Really, zombies love ANY body part.) The folks over at AlwaysFits.com sent me on over the Zombie Brain Gelatin Mold from their Candy+Yum section to review.

There's always room for... brains? Yes, kids, there is - especially when it involved Jello! The brain mold is a sturdy green plastic, and there are different recipes on the box to help you start on your creative brain making journey. ;) Since we actually wanted to eat the brain - well, rather the DH and kiddo did, I simply made ours with fruit flavored Jello - I think Raspberry. Maybe Strawberry. Anyways.... here it is:

The zombies already got into it and started tearing it apart. Really! ;) Actually, it was a little hard for me to get the brain out of the plastic mold, but I am sure I will improve with practice. It made a really fun dessert for us just before leaving for ZomBcon, and it will be perfect for Halloween parties! It also has a great price at just $6.99 - I've seen similar molds at Halloween superstores that are priced more expensive and not as great quality. (I'm guessing those would probably fall apart after a couple of uses, this one should last for several years.)

Right now, AlwaysFits.com is hosting a KILLER contest where you can win $300 worth of candy. (Talk about some serious sugar rushes!) Simply make a video with a total running time of under 4 minutes using one (or many) of the zany edibles in the “Candy + Yum” section in your video, and head on over and upload it to the contest page, where you will find out more information and of course, the rules. The contest runs through November 18th, so you have plenty of time to get a great video in the running for prizes!

I received the product shown above in order to share my thoughts on it. All opinions are my own.
