I was sent on over several bags of the Natural Vines Licorice in both the Strawberry and Black flavors. I loved that these are in a resealable bag - I can't tempt myself to eat them all quickly just because they might go bad - the argument is gone now! lol ;) I noticed that these had a softer texture than other licorice treats I've had in the past. These really reminded me of an old fashioned treat you would have bought 100 years ago, and I especially enjoyed the Black flavor. I was happy to also see that these are preservative free, and that they are vegan and made in a nut free facility. (Alas, these are made with wheat flour, so they aren't gluten free for those of you looking for those kind of treats.) There is no high fructose corn syrup in these either, so it's a treat I'm more than happy to keep in my home, too.
I didn't know that the Natural Vines Licorice is actually made by one of the country’s oldest candy makers, the American Licorice Co. (they might seem familiar, as they also make the Red Vines brand!), and that means that the Natural Vines Licorice are made here in the USA!
