zombies.
zombies.
zombies.
And a little other stuff this year, like True Blood, The Devil's Rejects and The Boondock Saints.
There was panels about filming with the Godfather of the Undead "Zombies" (or ghouls), George A. Romero, to a conversation with the Master of Splatter himself, Tom Savini. Lots of awesome authors were there to talk about their books and sign, from Cherie Priest to Jonathon Maberry.
DH was in heaven when Thursday night while at the Welcome to the Apocalypse mixer he was able to meet Tom Savini and Bill Moseley! That was just the beginning of the fun for us.
One of my personal favorites was getting to attend a panel on Night of the Living Dead Friday morning and listening to Judith O'Dea, who played Barbara (They're coming to get you, Barbara!) speak. Later on during the weekend, we were able to talk with her a few minutes, and DH took a picture with her. It was AMAZING to meet Judith.

I've got TONS of stuff I cannot wait to share with y'all about some of the panels, and rather than make this a gigantic long post no one wants to read, I'm going to break it into a couple of smaller ones.
Here's a shot of my very happy DH walking through the exhibitor's area drooling over all the great stuff you could purchase. Remember my swearing I'd take his wallet away? Yeah, I should have done that. The hall was very, very dangerous. Let me just say we came back with way more stuff than we left with!
