Contest: Sweet Secret

Do you have a super secret ingredient you add to your perfect dessert? According to a recent survey conducted by Kelton Research, nearly a third of surveyed bakers use sweetened condensed milk as their secret ingredients. 32% keep it on hand in the pantries at all times.

I'd be one of the 32%! I don't bake a ton of sweet desserts around here, but I use in other recipes year round, such as making mashed potatoes from scratch. But if you like to bake desserts, I've got a contest you need to hear about!


Now through December 7th, home bakers can enter Eagle Brand's "Sweet Secret" contest! Submit your original dessert recipe, along with an essay of 100 words or less describing why Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk is the "sweet secret: ingredient in your recipe. You can enter in English, or for my fellow Latinas, you can enter your recipe in Spanish at www.marcaeagle.com. The only requirement is that the recipe you submit must use at least one 14 oz can of any of the Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk. You have five categories to choose from: fudge, cheesecake, pie, cookie bar, or other. The grand prize is $10,000!
