My family was recently sent the animated LeapFrog: 3 DVD Learning Collection to review. The set contains three DVDs: The Amazing Alphabet Amusement Park, Learn To Read At The Storybook Factory, and Number Ahoy!, as well as one book: On The Go!.
If you're not exactly new to the Leap Frog world, you'll probably recognize that these titles have all been previously released. However, it's the first time available in a handy gift set! Geared towards the ages 2 to 5 crowd, this box set ends up being cheaper than purchasing the three titles separately if you don't already own any of the titles.
The Amazing Alphabet Amusement Park DVD teaches early reading skills, including learning the alphabet, upper and lower case letters, and rhyming. It has a total running time of 39 minutes long. To read my complete review on this title, click here.
Learn To Read At The Storybook Factory helps kids discover the magic of reading. They will learn several ready for school skills, including story structure, comprehension, and reading skills using the story of The Three Little Pigs and highlighted words on your TV screen. It has five fun sing-a-long songs, as well as a learning storybook game that kids can play on the TV. You'll notice that this title will be more helpful for kids at the end of the age range (about 5 and 6) than the younger set. It has a total running time of 35 minutes long.
Number Ahoy! helps kids learn mathematical skills like number recognition, counting, and estimation while on an under the sea journey featuring pirates. It has a total running time of 35 minutes long. To read my complete review on this title, click here.
On The Go! is a short adventure book that helps teach consonants and short vowels.
LeapFrog: 3 DVD Learning Collection is available now wherever educational DVD's are sold, as well as the LeapFrog website. Fullscreen format, it is not rated, but safe for all ages (see above), and has a total running time across the three DVD's of 109 minutes long. The suggested retail price is $29.98, but Amazon has it available for $21.99 as of this posting.

I received a copy of this DVD set in order to share my thoughts on it. All opinions are my own.
