Scout, Violet, Eli, and Penny - characters you may know from other Leap Frog releases - want to learn more about animals. Axle, their magical toy car, whisks them away to a farm so their wish can come true! While there, they discover a remarkable alphabet collection, and get in shape with an athletic alligator, console a sad seal, and more, as they make their way through the entire alphabet! (Yes, break out a few tongue twisters along the way, parents, I even found myself tripping over a few of these while watching it with my daughter! lol)
Leap Frog's newest release, Scout & Friends Phonics Farm, teaches the pre-K crowd (ages 2-5) early reading skills, such as the alphabet and phonics skills. They also learn more about animals as they go! The DVD uses catchy songs to help kids learn as they go. Here's the trailer:

Included on the DVD are several special features, including sing-alongs, A Surprise For Scout storybook, "Sing With Us! The Band", "Being A Puppy (The Scout Song" music video, and some curriculum commentary for parents to help their children learn.
I don't know about other kids, but the animals combined with the silly songs certainly get my 3 year old's attention. As a parent, I appreciate the additional curriculum commentary as it helps me understand what my daughter is learning now.
