Giveaway: Kroger Quadruple Fuel Rewards

I love getting the most I can out of my shopping dollars, so I was excited to hear that starting November 20th, the Kroger Company of stores - including our local Fred Meyer stores - will offer quadruple fuel rewards points on most gift cards sold at its in-store kiosk. The rewards points can be redeemed for discounts of up to $0.10 on fuel at Shell stations and $1 at Kroger fuel centers.


Simply choose which gift card you'd like to purchase, and check out at the register. (Make sure if you are using self checkout that a checkout clerk activates the card for you!) A $25 gift card purchase will get you 10 cents off your next gas fill up, while a $50 gift card purchase will score you $0.20 off at your local Fred Meyer gas station!

It's perfect timing with gift cards being purchased for holiday gifts, or you can do what I do - purchase gift cards for the every day items you are already going to be buying! I like to pick up Petsmart gift cards to stock up on cat food and litter - ok, and toys for the Corgis - as well as picking up Subway and Red Robin gift cards for dinners out. With a truck that has a big gas tank, I certainly appreciate any discount I can get to fill that baby up! lol

The folks over at Kroger sent me a $25 gift card so I could try out getting a discount. Since my local Freddy's didn't carry Target gift cards, I told DH to choose between Cabela's and Gamestop and headed off to finish my shopping. Ten minutes later I came back to him, and he was still trying to decide - men! lol The extra fuels rewards points doesn't kick in until Sunday the 20th, so I told him he could sit on it and wait a few more days to decide which one he wanted. (Who knew it was so hard to choose between ammo/fishing gear and games? LOL) We need to fix a leak that has just sprung up, so I'll be picking up a Lowe's $25 gift card with my own money to get the supplies to fix it - that should give us a 20 cent discount right there between the two gift cards! I know, I get excited easily - but every little discount helps! :)
