Giveaway: Country Crock Makes Veggies Yummy

When I was a little girl, I didn't spend much time in the kitchen helping out. I don't really have any fond memories of hanging out and helping get meals prepared. So, my cooking skills when I moved out on my own and later on got married, were less than desirable, lol. I'm hoping to do the opposite with my daughter and help her wield a mean spatula when she's older by having her help me in the kitchen. ;) Sometimes it's something as little as helping to get ingredients from our pantry, sometimes it's menu planning, and sometimes it's letting her mix things and open boxes.

Ingredients:

3 medium mashed potatoes
1/4 cup Shedd's Spread Country Crock
1/4 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
pinch of black pepper

Directions:

Cover potatoes with water in a 2 quart saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and summer uncovered for 20 minutes or until potatoes are very tender, then drain.

Return potatoes to saucepan and let kids mash them. Stir in remaining ingredients.

Easy peasy, right? It just takes a few moments more than the instant kind. (which of course, are easy for kids to help make too, if you prefer)
