Review & Giveaway: SnapSac

I have a stack of reuseable bags, but boy, it's hard to find bigger ones that look cute. Most cute bags are all about the same size!

SnapSac sent me the Splurge Super Tote in navy blue with white polka dots and yellow trim to review. The Super Tote is 24"w by 16.5"h by 10"d. The material is more rigid - while the bag folds down to a size that fits into a lot of larger purses, this one doesn't crumple into a ball like other bags do. It does have an inside pocket, and it is machine washable - although I honestly don't think it would stand up to a bunch of washings, so be careful when doing so.

The handles are slightly oversized - you can carry it over your shoulder, but I wouldn't recommend doing so if you are wearing bulky clothing - I don't think it would feel comfortable. (You know how bags start to slide? It gets to be a pain sliding it back up!)

I first used my SnapSac Super Tote to bring home some groceries. Most of these were lighter weight though - a bag of chips (DH begged), some salad, etc. I also bought some 2 litres, but I didn't dare put those in the bag. I figured it might rip the handles.

I also found it great when we visited the mall. I put all of our hoodies in it, and it made it a little easier for me - I didn't have to worry one would get lost. Here it is at home with them in it:


As you can see, there's still room left! It wasn't bulging out or anything. I'll definitely be keeping this one to carry changes of clothing and things like that throughout the summer, too - it's a great size to toss a couple of beach towels and a change of clothing when going to the beach!

Bottom line: the Super Tote is great for bulky items, but not heavy items. Be careful that you aren't tempted to overstuff it and then it rips! It's way better for the environment than using plastic bags, and it doesn't take up a ton of bulk room thanks to the way it folds.
