Simply place the glow clings on a clean, flat wall somewhere where it will be dark. You can use your ceiling, a wall across from the bed, or even a wall in your family room. There are two in a package for the Glow Crazy gift pack, so you can even have them in two places at once! Each piece is 12" by 30", so it's big enough for most creations. It also comes with fun stencils, so you can play with those, making animals, space drawings, or princess ones too. Or if you'd rather, freehand draw a fun game of tic-tac-toe, silly doodles - the possibilities are endless! You can even make wide beams or thing beams for details on your drawings. Just don't stand too far away - the ten feet they recommend is perfect.
The wand does use 4 AAA batteries, so keep that in mind - but as a parent, I'm glad these don't use weird sized batteries I have to make a special trip to a specialty battery place to find. At least I can use rechargeable batteries, or pick up some cheapos from the dollar store to keep on hand.
It is geared towards the ages six and up crowd, but as long as there is some parental supervision, I don't see why younger kids can't have some fun playing with it too! My daughter had a blast making silly drawings on the wall. (Do be sure that for the younger set they understand ONLY with this pen, lest you end up with crayon drawings everywhere! LOL)
The Glow Crazy retails for $19.99, and you can purchase it online, and fine toy stores.

Hi, great review thanks but I have a problem...we got Glow Crazy for my daughter for christmas but there's no instructions and as silly as this sounds, we can't figure out how to change the batteries in the glow wand. How do you open it? Thank!
I sent Brian an email, but just in case anyone else is looking for the answer too, I wanted to put it here: at the other end of the wand there are two tiny screws - use a Phillips screwdriver to get those up, and then you'll be able to put the batteries in.
I've tried ALL my screwdrivers, none of them fit the little screws in the pen! Is there any other way of getting this thing open?
