Review & Giveaway: New Yoplait Lactose Free Yogurt

As I am on the mend from my surgery and being sick, I am learning more and more about foods, food intolerances, and hidden ingredients lurking on food labels. Dairy products, for instance, can be a huge minefield. A lot of folks who are lactose intolerant may not even realize it! And those who do, may be ending up with lower calcium and Vitamin D intake levels - which can lead to health problems down the road. Avoiding dairy can create a higher risk for osteoporosis, as one example. Not getting enough Vitamin D can lead to a weakened immune system, among other problems!

So what can you do if you are lactose intolerant? Well, one way to help is to be on the hunt for lactose free versions of dairy products, such as new Yoplait Lactose Free yogurt.


Yoplait Lactose Free yogurt comes in four flavors: Strawberry, Peach, French Vanilla and Cherry. Each yogurt cup contains 50% of the recommended Daily Value of calcium, with vitamins A and D in every cup. They also contain no artificial sweeteners, so if you are also trying to avoid those, you can still enjoy new Yoplait Lactose Free yogurt.

I received a package from Yoplait that included a coupon to try out the new Yoplait Lactose Free yogurt that's just hit store shelves. DH had a little bit of a hard time finding it among the yogurt section (poor DH, he's a bit overwhelmed shopping by himself!), but he brought home the Strawberry for me. I couldn't really taste a difference between regular Yoplait and the new Lactose Free yogurt at all!
