Happy Easter to us - Captain blew out his shoulder jumping up the back steps, so we spent yesterday morning at the vet with him. Thank goodness for credit cards, is all I can say at this point.
...The vet looked like Dr. Drew, lol. I didn't even know the clinic had a male vet. I've never even seen a man there, except my DH with me. lol
Unfortunately, the pain killers they gave Captain make him think he's Super Dog, and he jumped right up on the couch when we got home before he realized it still hurt. Poor little guy. :(
Go figure, it would happen just as we had really nice weather and could have been out hiking or at least at the park playing.
I didn't menu plan last week, and never got around to it yesterday. Dinner was nachos. At least I chopped fresh tomatoes and peppers to go on it? (It counts as veggies, right?) I just do not want to be in the kitchen much right now... nothing tastes right, and I'm afraid I'm adding too much spice/not enough to things. Sigh!
Speaking of that nice weather, you'd think being home would mean DH would get something done outside, but I practically had to read him the riot act just to get the grass cut in the back yard - and it's not like there's a ton of grass for him to cut. I can cut it in less than 10 minutes! I poked my head in the shed and about died. DH's version of putting things away is piling it up... the nice clean shed I had last summer, you can barely walk in right now because he's not putting it away in the right place.
Yep, it's pick on DH day. lol
The top shelf in the cabinet in the kitchen that I use to store my counter appliances like my slow cookers collapsed. Luckily, I was right at it, so I was able to stop it from landing on the floor and probably breaking everything. Unfortunately, this means my counters are covered in appliances the last few days. The clutter is driving me crazy! I'm tempted to get rid of at least the breadmaker since I really don't use it - I prefer to do it all by hand. (I know, some of you think I'm nuts)
The nice part about the blue skies for two days meant I could hang my laundry out to dry and not panic every five minutes that it might rain! lol
Did you see this? Rare, Unexplained Daytime Fireball Scorches Texas Sky I bet that was awesome to see!
Hmmm... not sure I am liking this: In Resident Evil 6, Even The Zombies Have Guns There's just something wrong about zombies shooting at you. I guess rage virus zombies, maybe - but that doesn't really fit with the Resident Evil storyline.
Study this well, young grasshoppers - it could save your life in a zombie invasion! ;) Map of The Dead: Zombie Survival Map Type in an address, zip code, etc, and you'll be able to pull up a list of hospitals, cemeteries, campgrounds, etc. Yep, save it to your favorites - it could be helpful in any disaster, really. (Not to mention a lot of fun! Mouse over each of the categories for a giggle or two)
...I'm still trying to figure out why a photography place is labeled a doctor in our area, but OK.... Nice to know I live in the middle of a non dangerous zone though! lol

Awwww! Poor Captain! Here's hoping for a speedy recovery for the little guy!
Your DH sounds like he could be my hubby's brother if he actually had any siblings - what is it with them needing to be nagged into doing something that needs to be done? And what is it with the inability to put things back where they got it? *shakes head* :)
Hmmmm...does make you wonder if there's a back room doc at the photography place...heh!
Thanks for helping keep the Random alive!! :)

We were having wonderful weather until today when the temps dropped and the winds came through.
Have a great rest of your RTT.
