Review: Doodle Roll

I like to encourage creativity with my daughter whenever I can. I purchase toys that allow her to use her imagination, and carry around crayons and a small coloring book in my purse for when we are waiting. She loves to color, and sometimes we color together (Hey! It's fun! lol) The Doodle Roll (which I first told you about here) is an all-in-one portable arts and crafts activity kit.

Geared towards ages 3 and up, the Doodle Roll comes with the paper roll and crayons in a handy plastic clam shell dispenser. This protects not only the paper, but stops the crayons from breaking while it's in your purse or stored in the car. Available in two different sizes, the double sided paper is *30* feet long in the large size, and 15 feet long in the smaller travel size. In the larger size, the crayons are double sided with a different color on each end giving kids more color choices. The travel size has smaller crayons, and only four. The paper can be torn from the roll when kids are done drawing using the safety edge on the plastic holder.

The great part about the Doodle Roll is that my daughter can draw, or even practice her writing on it - she wasn't limited to anything. We're really working on her writing her name right now, so this is fun for her, and keeps her entertained. And at least the paper is easily recycled!

DH got a kick out of the travel 4" roll, telling the kiddo it was toilet paper. Men! (Alright, it IS about the same size, I'll give him that. LOL) We decided to put that smaller set into my daughter's emergency bag, so she has a little something extra to play with. It's pretty light, so it didn't add any extra weight into it for her.

FYI, while the paper is made in the USA and the package assembled here, the certified non toxic crayons do come from China.

You can order a trial pack off the website that includes both sizes of Doodle Rolls and replacement rolls for $14.00, as well as variety of different packages and quantities that would make fun birthday party treat gifts. And for those who want to have a lot of fun - yes, adults too! - they have a super cool 72" graffiti roll! Think about all you can do with that! You can also purchase Doodle Roll via Amazon, via small boutiques and gift shops, and hopefully at a Walmart near you soon.

I received samples of the product mentioned above in order to try it out in our own home and share my thoughts on it. All opinions are my own.
