So Exhausted... So Frustrated!

Monday we had beautiful weather, so I begged DH to go hiking a little with a picnic, and as you can probably guess, yesterday I paid the piper. Not only was I tired, I was uncomfortable from swelling up, and I guess I've swollen up enough that I'm starting a new collection of stretch marks.

Good thing bikinis are not my thing.

I'm super itchy everywhere. I look in the mirror fast enough to make sure my hair is pulled back alright, and that's it.

I'm starting to look like Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas. Only not as skinny.

Bills have been continuing to roll in at an alarming rate. Not being on any insurance, we're stuck for a grand total of....

Are you sitting down?

$60,000 so far.

I did get one of the bills reduced down by 50%, but we're still on the hook for way more than we can handle.

So I spent part of the morning on the phone with a debt collection agency because the hospital sent their part of their (overpriced, because DH did more work than the nurses did!) bill, and they want more than DH makes in a month as their first payment.

Helpful agent: Have you thought about getting a part time job?

I do realize those that feel "keeping up with the Joneses" think more than one person working buys them a lot of junk we don't need - but by the time I learn to drive, get anti anxiety meds that allow me to drive, get a car, pay gas & insurance, day care, etc - part time would put me in the hole! That's even IF I could find a job around here in this economy.

Thanks for the laugh, lady.

So I hung up the phone and went and cried my eyes out. I'd stuff my face full of Ben & Jerry's if we had any. (Oh, how I miss ice cream! I have issues even with my beloved Nutella still, so I don't dare indulge in ice cream)

Uh... all this time I never realized the chocolate in Chunky Monkey was banana shaped. Boy, I'm observant.

I'm rethinking the tent thing a little after yesterday's tornadoes back in Texas... yikes! I hope all my readers down there are safe! Family saw nothing, thank goodness!
